The 4th annual FEED THE COPS & FEED THE FIRE took place June 28-29, 2023. Started by owner Tim Jett in 2020, FEED THE COPS is an annual outreach opportunity to honor and show support for law enforcement across Shreveport and Bossier Parishes with a meal.
Last year, over 500 law enforcement personnel were served from the Shreveport and Bossier Police Departments and the Caddo Sherriff’s Department. This year, the event will expand to include FEED THE FIRE, providing meals for members of the Shreveport Fire Department. Employees and friends of Jett Business Systems will be on-site to serve at the Shreveport Police Department, Bossier City Police Department, and Caddo Sherriff Department on Wednesday, June 28 and the Shreveport Fire Station and Bossier Sherriff Department on Thursday, June 29.
"It's an honor to provide a meal to the law enforcement personnel and first responders that do so much for us daily," said Tim Jett. "We can't imagine the difficulty these officers and firefighters face as they protect and serve us 24/7/365. FEED THE COPS and FEED THE FIRE is just a simple way to honor these men and women and show them our appreciation."
Jett Business Systems has partnered with Silver Star Grille, Down Home Meats, Podnuh's BBQ, Bodacious Bar & Q, Brookshire's Grocery Company, and Eagle Distributing of Shreveport to secure an incredible spread. The menu includes brisket, ribs, turkey, sausage, potato salad, beans, Holy Angels’ homemade cookies, Papa T's award-winning chicken wings, and Miss Amy's famous jambalaya.
